GCSE Maths Practice: expanding-brackets

Question 11 of 11

This question tests expanding two single brackets. Recognising how to multiply each term is essential.

\( \begin{array}{l}\textbf{Expand and simplify the expression:} \\ (x + 10)(x + 2)\end{array} \)

Choose one option:

Multiply the First, Outer, Inner, and Last terms (FOIL) and sum the x-terms carefully.

When expanding \((x + a)(x + b)\), use the distributive law: \(x\cdot x + x\cdot b + a\cdot x + a\cdot b\). Then combine like terms.
